Building the Perfect Freeride Rig with Tylor James & Jenson USA

When you're riding the exposed cliffs and rugged terrain of Virgin, Utah, you need a bike that can handle the gnarliest lines. Tylor James teamed up with Jenson USA to build exactly that—a freeride dream machine designed to take on the same legendary landscape that hosts Red Bull Rampage.

Built around the Transition TR11 frame, this custom rig is dialed with Marzocchi Bomber 58 suspension, Deity components, and Magura MT7 brakes for maximum control on high-consequence descents. With Industry Nine Hydra wheels and a Sram X01 crankset, every detail is built for sending it big in the desert.

What makes this build even more unique? Tylor isn’t your typical freerider—at 42 years old and only 2.5 years into riding, he’s proving that age and experience don’t define what’s possible. With the right mindset (and the right bike), the biggest lines are within reach.

"Two and a half years ago I bought my first bike after some friends took me to Whistler for the first time. Now, I’m building a freeride bike for one of the most intense places on the planet. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s too late to start."
