Joe has been a key figure in mountain biking since the sport's inception. Not only was Joe the first ever NORBA national champion, he also has a racing pedigree that few have matched since. Joe began to take on product development roles beginning in the mid 1980s, and continues these today, having designed product with key companies including Shimano, Marin, VooDoo, and Fisher.
