Why This Matters to Us
For us, cycling has been so much more than a hobby. What started as a passion for the freedom that came with our first bikes to the exhilaration that we still find through every rotation of our cranks, cycling has given us joy, community, career opportunities and so much more. Grow Cycling Foundation is a non-profit that promotes education, access, and opportunities that increase diversity and inclusion in cycling in order to share these same experiences and opportunities with people from all walks of life. We are so stoked on all that the Grow Cycling Foundation is doing that we knew we just had to be a part of what they've got going on!
WHAT IS GROW CYCLING FOUNDATION DOING?
Bikes provide riders with a sense joy and freedom, endless experiences, and a myriad of opportunities in a way that is largely unrivaled. However, there exist an inadequately diverse representation in cycling competition, business, media, and development opportunities. Grow Cycling Foundation is working too sustainably grow the cycling community and bike industry by building authentic foundations of diversity from within that don’t employ superficial or exploitive solutions. With ears on the ground in these communities, Grow Cycling Foundation and it's partners can provide the education, access, and opportunities that directly address the barriers they face. Grow Cycling is kicking there efforts off in North America, with plans to expand globally, because this is a global problem.
What are We Doing and How Can You Help?
To kick our partnership off with Grow Cycling, Jenson USA donated $10 from all gift card sales during the week before Christmas. This quick effort raised $4180 dollars that we donated to Grow Cycling's initial project to bring a Velosolution pump track to the Los Angeles area. Jenson USA and Grow Cycling are working to vastly expand how we can support their efforts for 2021 and beyond. We will keep our customers, friends, and family updated on all we dream up.
